That was on canada day 1999 it was a big red firey ball at the bottom of what appeared to be a cylinder object. It just hovered about 100m over a street light for a minute or two on 7th ave and georgia in richmond B.C. Then it went south east towards the massey tunnel and we could still see the ball of fire then it stopped and sat there for a minute then the flames dropped down and we couldn't see it anymore. By far the coolest thing I have ever seen because it was so close to the ground no more than 200m.
